Lola Bunny vs Amy Rose Blog

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."

Maya Angelou

Lola Bunny, B-Ball Champion, Pizza Delivering, Amazonian Warrior of Looney Tunes

Amy Rose, Freedom Fighting, Hammer Wielding, Tarot Card Master of Sonic The Hedgehog

Love is one of the most powerful forces on the planet, and these two gals embody it better than anyone. Sonic the Hedgehog vs. Looney Tunes isn't a pairing that's talked about very often, but today, it's finally getting its moment in the spotlight through two characters who embody not only love, but also constant growth and change. Today, we'll see which one can win a Death Battle!

Hol up….

Ya’ll know how Sonic goes, Amy’s getting everything that’s canon to the main series, which include the games, including spin-offs like Sonic Shuffle. We’ll also be including IDW since that’s canon alongside The Other Word Comedy. Tails Tube is also fair game as well, and statements made on BumbleKast that’s within reason.

Looney Tunes is a bit different, pretty much everything is on the table: games, comics, movies, TV shows, and more. When it comes to Lola, though, since she's one of the more recent members of the Looney Tunes cast, there's actually not as much material as you might think. It was a bit difficult tracking everything down, especially the comics, but I did the best I could with what I was able to find. Since this is my first Looney Tunes blog, I hope I got most things right this go around.

Before we get started I’d be remiss if I didn’t shout out Loka’s Amy vs Elphelt blog, ThoseGuysThatQuitVs Blogs Mewtwo and Shadow blog, and G1’s Wile E. vs Tom blog, and I guess my own Blaze vs Starfire blog as well.

Finally, the biggest shoutout to Bluegatito, without whom, I’d never be able to find the DC Comics (at least for free) material for Lola, thank you sincerely.

Lola Bunny

Background

“I have a sixth sense. My sense of humor.”

Bugs Bunny. You know him, you love him, Warner Bros.' mascot, trickster extraordinaire, the Gray Hare, and probably gonna beat Mickey in their Death Battle. No, I am not researching that. I have a life. Few have ever been able to beat the Looniest of The Loony. He's outwitted countless foes, from Elmer Fudd to Yosemite Sam, with those who have managed to get the drop on him being a very short list. You might know two of them: Cecil Turtle and the Gremlin. But surprisingly, there's one more name on that list: Bugs' very own girlfriend, Lola Bunny!

How she and Bugs met depends on who you ask (or who's writing the story). The original story has them meeting during a high-stakes basketball game where, if the Tunes lost, they'd be sold into slavery! The Monstars, the aliens the Tunes were playing against, stole the talent of some of the world's greatest basketball players, and all hope seemed lost.

Thankfully, they had the help of MJ... the basketball/golf player, not the singer. Though, did you know Space Jam was originally pitched as a musical to Michael Jackson? That would've been crazy! Anyway, this is where Lola would make her entrance. The moment Bugs laid eyes on her, he was smitten. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of calling her "doll," which immediately angered her, and she proceeded to humble him in a game of basketball. Regardless, she helped her fellow Tunes, and together they defeated the Monstars. Along the way, she and Bugs fell in love.

Other stories mention that they’ve actually been together since the seventh grade. Furthermore, Lola is a pizza delivery girl who's fated to deliver pizzas to all the crazies in her world; otherwise, the planet will fall into chaos to her displeasure. Through this job, Lola proved that Bugs wasn't the only rabbit with quick wit (and a bit of a temper), as she outsmarted many of her foes and customers through her intelligence and trickster nature, including the likes of Rhonda Roundhouse, whom she utterly humiliated in both a car race and a roller skating derby.

The most popular interpretation of Lola, however, is that she met Bugs at a country club through a game of tennis. While Bugs was initially smitten with her, he quickly discovered she was quite... well... Looney, even more so than he was! She was scatterbrained, loud, talkative, and hopelessly obsessed with Bugs. To be frank, she was crazy, she would follow him across the world just to be with him.

Yet, despite all this, simply by getting to know her (and with a bit of gaslighting), Bugs learned that beneath all her craziness, Lola was sweet, kind, and fiercely loyal. Despite all her flaws, he still found her to be someone he could spend the rest of his life with. Heck, one time, when he thought she had broken up with him, he became so depressed that he left everything behind and became a sailor, traveling to the ends of the world in sadness.

No matter which version of Lola you prefer, some things always remain the same: her athleticism, kindness, loyalty to her friends, ability to get one over on Bugs, and, especially, her temper! She might even be more vengeful than Bugs in that regard! But you should be fine...just as long as you don't call her "doll."

Experience and Skills

Don't let her appearance fool you, Lola is highly capable. She's a skilled fighter who has taken on a wide variety of opponents, including skeleton monsters like the ones shown above, a giant golem robot, tigers, squids, robots, and even her fellow Toons. During the events of Space Jam: A New Legacy, she trained under Wonder Woman and became an Amazonian warrior. One time, when Rhonda sent robots to attack her in the middle of a musical number, Lola was so caught up in the song that she effortlessly beat up and destroyed every robot without even realizing what she was doing.

She even once broke into a museum to steal a diamond, and bypassed its security, and did so again after it amped up the security, and while Bugs was with her the second time, she came up with the plan on her own. She’s also smart enough to build a car, tap into Bugs phoneline, and hack the codes with set up the lasers in his house. Lola is by far the most athletic toon, having beaten the other toons in The Looney Games, which was themed around olympic style games like hurdles, swimming, softball, paddling, etc.

It's a good thing she has those skills, considering her job as a pizza delivery girl constantly throws her into tons of bizarre situations and dangerous encounters, whether that means fighting underwater and even delivering to Mount Olympus. One thing worth noting is that, even with all her ditziness, Lola shares one of Bugs' most important traits: she's a trickster.

When angered, Lola can become very vengeful, and use her looks and wits to her advantage, take for example her rivalry with Rhonda Roundhouse. She was able to trick Rhonda Roundhouse into talking for so long that she missed the light turning green, giving Lola the chance to speed off first. She also tricked Rhonda into slowing down, convinced her to continue the race on foot instead of using her car, and even replaced her car parts with food so that animals would eat them, causing her car to crash.

In the comics, Lola tricks the King of Atlantis into jumping off a cliff and emotionally manipulates his guards into making him pay for the pizza she delivered. During a race, while her opponents struggled through the course, Lola relied on her quick thinking instead of brute force, creating a shortcut for herself to reach the finish faster. Finally, as a private investigator, Lola was able to deduce that Taz was the one responsible for the buildings being destroyed, while also uncovering the real culprits who had manipulated him into causing the destruction. She’s also a really good cook, able to make delicious meals in an instant.

Multiversus Items

  • Anvil:The ACME Anvil can be picked up and thrown at opponents, dealing major damage.

  • ACAME Dynamight: The ACME Dynamite can be thrown at opponents, exploding upon contact and dealing major damage.

  • Drumstick: The Drumstick can be thrown at opponents in order to turn them into Roast Chicken,  While a Roast Chicken, an opponent can't attack and can only run, jump, and taunt. The effect usually lasts about 10 seconds.

    • When an opponent that has been turned into a Roast Chicken by the Drumstick item gets attacked or breaks out of this form, they will leave two smaller Drumstick-like items behind, which slightly heal the Fighter which picks them up.

  • Pie:The Pie can be thrown at enemies to apply SLOW, as well as heal the allies it passes through.

  • Safe:The normal-sized Safe can't be picked up, but it can be attacked and launched, dealing damage to the opponents it hits. The more damage it gets, the more broken it will become, and once it breaks it will drop a random item.

  • Armor token:As its name suggests, Armor Token grants its user ARMOR for a short period of time.

  • Bounce Pad: The Bounce Pad can be placed on either grounded terrain or platforms in order to launch upwards anyone who steps on it. Once it is attached to the ground, the Bounce Pad will grow significantly in size.

    • Why am I reminded of Sonic Boom

  • Car Wheel:Once picked up, the Car Wheel will make its owner ride into either the Mystery Machine or the Batmobile. Once the Fighter is riding one of these vehicles, they'll be able to move around the Map and bump into their opponents, dealing major damage. The two vehicles have similar attributes, with the only exceptions being that the Mystery Machine can jump and the Batmobile is slightly faster.

  • Health Kits:As they're names suggest, all three types of the Health Kits heal a bit of damage for the Fighter that picks them. The amount of damaged healed differs based on what Health Kit the player picks, with the Health Bottle giving the smallest amount of heal, while the Big Health Crate giving the biggest amount.

  • Ice Shield:The Ice Shard can be thrown at opponents, increasing their ICE meter. It can also rarely freeze opponents that have enough ICE.

  • Proximity Mines:The Proximity Mine can be placed on either grounded terrain or platforms and will detonate when enemies get close.

  • Rock:The Rock can be thrown at opponents, dealing small amounts of damage.

  • Snowball:Snowballs can be picked up by players and thrown at opponents to give them "snowman"-like heads. Once they've been hit 4 times, the opponents will be frozen for a brief period of time.

  • Snowman Head:Snowman Heads can be picked up by players and thrown at opponents to instantly freeze them.

  • TV:When picked up and thrown, the TV summons a random character (known as 'Assistants') that will help the player who threw them in combat. Each Assistant has a different behavioral pattern, those being Nepter and Banana Guards.

Space Jam A New Legacy Game

In the game based on the movie, Lola can use a spring loaded boxing glove, a frying pan, and a giant fish for attacks. But the best items in this game come from the cards, which give you special powerups while fighting.

  • Taz: Summons a tornado

  • Road Runner: Increases movement speed

  • Granny: Drops healing food items

  • Yosemite Sam: Drops jewels that give score points

  • Tweety - Increases strength

  • Wile E. Coyote: Drops a vial that unleashes a green stink cloud that damages and stuns enemies

  • Daffy Duck: Summons a flame circle around the player that pushes enemies backward

  • Marvin the Martian: Freezes all enemies

Bugs Bunny & Lola Bunny: Operation Carrot Patch Items

In this game, Lola and Bugs carrots by their friends, and they have to get them back, during their adventure they’ll encounter these items:

  • Standard Carrots: The basic item. Collecting carrots acts as "energy" for your special abilities. It also allows you to run in the air for extra height.

  • Super Carrots: Special carrots that allow your character to fly through the air like a helicopter using their ears.

  • Habanero Carrots: A fiery pickup that makes your character invincible for a short time.

  • Film Clapboards: The main goal of each level. You must find all the clapboards to finish the stage.

  • Letters E-X-T-R-A: If you collect all 5 letters in a level, you play a bonus minigame where you shoot firecrackers at moving targets.

Looney Tunes Racing Items

This game doesn’t use the traditional item boxes that either spawn a random item or start an item roulette, this game features a specific "meter" of six different items which is "filled" via the coins scattered through the track that respawn rather frequently.

  • Level 1: Cream Pie: The lowest rated weapon is a simple projectile launched in a straight line. Can do the work if you're running out of chances or if you're close to the driver in front, but it's preferable to skip it in favor of more advanced items. Any driver who gets hit by one of these will spin out for a brief while and lose momentum.

  • Level 2: Bomb: Probably the item of choice when going first, because it can be left behind. Using one of these in strategic points like an ACME portal, turbo pads or right after coins can prove deadly. It can also be launched forward so you plant it right in front of the leading driver or directly hit them. Any driver who hits or gets hit by one of these will spin out for a brief while and lose momentum.

  • Level 3: Storm Cloud: Sends a homing storm cloud that searches the closest driver. When it reaches a driver, it starts raining on it before hitting it with a lightning strike that stuns it briefly to lose momentum. It can travel some distance before stopping, at which point it will float about in the spot, and any driver passing below it will suffer its effects like usual. The cloud can be shaken off by constantly moving from side to side, though it's not an easy task and sometimes it can slow you down more than its effects do.

  • Level 4: RC Cream Pie: An enhanced version of the starter item, but this time it's radio-controlled so it can aim for the player in front. It has a greater reach and accuracy than the Storm Cloud and it's also much faster, which explains why it's ranked this high. It has the same effects as the regular Cream Pie besides the homing capabilities.

  • Level 5: Anvil: This item appears over the driver in front via a portal to flatten them like the track hazards do when triggered. The reason why it's ranked this high it's because the item is unleashed simultaneously over all drivers in front of the user, no matter the distance. Therefore, this item is sure to hit unless a driver is already suffering the effects of another item or hazard. Kind of useful when you're behind, kind of irritating when you're in front for being unpredictable and nearly unavoidable.

  • Level 6: Magical Powder: The user gets surrounded in some powder that makes them shine of different colors. While it lasts, the user is protected from any harm and it also receives a boost in speed. It lasts for barely 5 seconds, though, but given how you can refill your item meter rather easily you can get several of these in a single lap.

World of Mayhem Items

Toons can enter battle with the gadgets the proud and fair Acame Corporation provides, being able to carry four at a time into battle.

Abilities

Hare Physiology

Despite their last name being "Bunny," Lola and Bugs are actually hares! Now, you might not think there's much of a difference between the two, but there is. Hares are larger, solitary animals that are born with fur and open eyes. They live above ground and rely on their speed to escape predators. Conversely, rabbits are smaller, more social, and are born blind and hairless. They live in underground burrows and generally prefer to hide from danger, which, to be fair, Bugs and Lola do as well. However, in other projects like Rabbits Run, Bugs and Lola live in solitary homes, preferring to live by themselves. Heck, even in the original shorts and comics, they typically live alone and seem to prefer a solitary lifestyle. Basically, aside from living in burrows, their behavior is far more in line with hares than rabbits.

Hares are cursorial herbivores renowned for their explosive speed, keen senses, and adaptations for surviving in open terrain. Their skulls feature flexible, jointed connections that act as shock absorbers, helping disperse the kinetic energy and mechanical stress generated by their rapid bounding movement. Their eyes are positioned on the sides of their heads, giving them nearly 360-degree vision, an adaptation that allows them to spot threats from almost any direction while still keeping an eye on their surroundings as they forage. Their long, curved ears are also highly mobile, capable of rotating up to 270 degrees to detect an enormous range of frequencies, even from great distances.

Toon DNA

Lola is a toon, and can perform multiple looney and tuney feats of her own. Feats of her own include surviving being stabbed by multiple pitchforks, and stung by a jellyfish, talking to the fourth wall, occupying several places at once, using a pizza as a bungee cord, make her car literally walk to avoid jagged sections of the road, rev her wheels hard enough to cause the road to sprout upward into a giant fleur-de-lis that Rhonda crashes into, alter her environment, talk while frozen solid (and somehow later break free), jump into a hat and change her appearance, defy gravity, and even inflate one of her arms into a massive muscular arm as seen above.

See, what you need to know about Lola is that, as a Toon, she has "Looney" baked into her cells. The reason is that, from birth, a Toon's body and cells are designed to endure all sorts of comical situations for the sake of entertainment. A Toon's purpose is to make people laugh, and they thrive on that laughter because, with it, they can survive just about anything. They are born with this “Tooniness”, which allows them to perform feats like traveling through paintings, invisible walls, bypass traps, or even amplify and bestow power to the Toon and demonstrate  feats they normally wouldn’t be able to as long as they believe what they see and know.

Looney DNA allows tunes to survive just about anything, they all have high pain tolerance, including Lola. This DNA allows them to survive breaking their bones, being harmed by temperature, turned into bricks, flattened, being decapitated, and their brain and mind being wiped. Furthermore, they also seemingly all share the same regenerative capabilities.

This could possibly mean that any toon, including Lola, can really survive anything like Bugs said. This could mean Lola could theoretically survive being reduced to only eyeballs, a skeleton, shattered while frozen, being turned into popcorn, liquified, disintegrated, blowing up into nothing, the paper they’re on being torn, their physical body erased, spirits being disintegrated and popping, and also, their information deleted.

Fourth Wall Manipulation

As a Toon, Lola is capable of fourth-wall manipulation. She regularly breaks the fourth wall by speaking directly to the audience in both the comics and New Looney Tunes, and in Space Jam, as shown above, she physically pulls down the screen itself to transition into the next scene.

All the toons are aware that they’re cartoon characters, and Lola has interacted with and came to our world before. Other toons have shown the capability to stop the cartoon from ending, break the film reel entirely, bring in other characters or animators and manipulate the script which affects reality. Finally, even though Lola herself has never demonstrated this, other toons have even the plot so it was advantageous towards themselves even if it was literally written for them to lose.

This is all fairly arguable, simply because Lola herself hasn't performed anything on this level. However, as a Toon, one who has spoken directly to the fourth wall, interacted with people in the real world, physically pulled the next scene into place, and presumably graduated from Acme Looniversity (she actually cooks there), it's theoretically possible that Lola could pull off many of the same fourth-wall feats as the other Looney Tunes.

Air Manipulation

With a simple spin, Lola can generate a tornado of wind around herself.

Super Speed

Like any rabbit, Lola is fast, very fast, as you can see. She's quick enough to give even Bugs trouble keeping up with her, and occupy more than one place.

Outta The Way

Outta The Way allows Lola to rush forward with a giant leaping double kick.

Spinning Bunny Kicks

Spinning Bunny Kick allows Lola to run forward into spinning helicopter kicks, and finishing with a spinning drill kick.

Hip Check

Can Peach and Daisy sue for this?

Love Struck summons a heart that stuns enemies based on how long the attack is charged.

Full Court Press

Lola can sweep a basketball around for two hits that launch enemies forward, and apply armor break.

This One’s For You

This One’s For You brings back the Big Heart, but now it reflects projectiles and hits enemies.

Power Replication

In Bugs Bunny Builders, Lola and her fellow builders could replicate Taz’s iconic spin.

Ear Control

Lola and Bugs have shown the ability to use their ears to play basketball and hold items, in Lola case she can use them while cooking too.

World of Mayhem

Lola appears in World of Mayhem (which is shutting down in October, thank God I did this now) where you can build a “Toon Team”, to wage wacky battles for control of the Looney Tunes World, with each Toon having unique fighting abilities. They’re doing this because Marvin captures everyone in the Reatomizer.

Toon Relationships are passive effects that each toon has. They grant special effects if the conditions listed are met, giving the toons an edge in battle. For example Lola obviously has a relationship with Bugs, with him she gets a +10% Attack, Defense and Speed.

Skills:

  • Wham Bam: Hit enemy target 2x for a total of 90% damage, inflicting 2 Attack Down.

  • Staggering Perfume: Gain Taunt and 3 Defense Up for 2 turns. Deal (50/55/60/65% Attack) damage to 2 random enemies, inflicting Silence to each. If the enemies were already Silenced, Stun them instead.

    • Silence is a debuff that leaves you with only your basic ability, Skills that state Unless Silenced are deactivated.

  • Can't Stop Us: his toon has Immunity to Silence and, while this toon remains in battle, all Citizen allies have +50/60/70/80/100% resistance to Silence. Resistance to Silence. While in a Campaign or in Brawl, enemies have -50% Resistance to Silence.

  • Chatterbox: At the start of each enemy’s turn, gain a Defense Up, and if any team member is below 60% Max Health, inflict 2 Attack Down on that enemy. At the start of each of this toon’s turns, if Bugs Bunny is an ally, grant them and this toon Heal Over Time.

  • Dexterous Display: Gain Taunt and grant your team 3 Defense Up for 2 turns, inflicting 2 Critical Chance Down on all enemies. If this toon has any Looney Medal, inflict Deny Critical on the enemy with the highest Critical Chance as well. While in Alliance Wars, inflict Speed Down on all enemies as well.

  • Gymnasts' Routine: Deal 125% Attack damage to target enemy inflicting 5 random Stat Down. This has +25% Lifesteal for each Team Looney Tunes team member. If this toon has a Gold Looney Medal, this ability has +100% Ignore Defense.

  • Appeal to Higher Power: Reset the cooldown of Temple Trap, inflicting all enemies with 2/2-3/3-4 random debuffs for 2 turns and gaining 30/40/50% Turn Meter.

  • Torchlight: At the end of each Hidden enemy's turn, attack them for (25/30/35/40/50% Attack) damage and reveal them from Hidden.

Bakana Bunny

This powerful attack can deal (90% Attack) damage plus an additional 10% Max Health damage to all enemies. (This attack can be a critical hit.) While below 50% Max Health, gain +25% Lifesteal for this attack. While above 50% Max Health, grant your team 2 Critical Damage Up for 2 turns.

Meditation

At the start of this toon's turn, gain Attack Up for 5 Turns. While in Endurance Tower, this Toon also gains Counter Chance Up for 5 Turns.

Reductio Ad Absurdum

By summoning a bunch of stacked papers, Lola can flip all buffs on target enemies, gaining 20/25/30/35/40/50% Turn Meter. If they have no buffs, inflict 3-5 Stat Down instead.

Don’t Ever Call Me Doll

This slam dunk of an attack deals massive damage, and grants your team defense up.

Resistances

Weaknesses

This is somewhat difficult to lock down, since not every version of Lola is the same. It really depends on which interpretation of her personality you'd focus on for a matchup. In the Space Jam movies, she doesn't really have a defined weakness, but she's also not very Looney or Tuney, something she even admits herself. The comics expanded on her character, however, placing her in scenarios that were both Looney and Tuney, forcing her to interact with her world in clever ways. She even demonstrated trickery and intelligence that would make Bugs blush, not to mention she is the most athletic Toon.

In The Looney Tunes Show, she's Looney, but not all that Tuney, given the series is more sitcom-like and grounded in nature. Furthermore, Lola is extremely scatterbrained in that series, which can leave her unaware of her surroundings. Though, to be fair, when storming the Egyptian temple for the ruby, she became deadly serious and focused, using her skills proficiently to defeat the skeletons and monsters inside with ease. The best way to define Lola's personality and weaknesses is by looking at her New Looney Tunes incarnation, which is the perfect blend of all her previous versions. She's just as clever and much of a trickster as her DC Comics counterpart, just as scatterbrained and ditzy as her Looney Tunes Show self, and just as incredibly skilled and resourceful when the situation calls for it. She’s also very much a Looney Tune, especially since the series was more in line with the original cartoons.

However, what surprised me was the one trait that remained consistent across every version of Lola, and it might be her greatest weakness: she has quite the temper. When slighted, she becomes very vengeful, and while that has usually worked in her favor, it has occasionally backfired. The clearest example comes when Bugs, with his busted-up tooth, tried to get into her family photo. In her determination to keep him away, they ended up crashing their vehicle, which left Lola with a busted-up tooth as well, while Bugs still managed to end up in the photo anyway.

She’s also been bested by Cecil Turtle funnily enough, and like her boyfriend she also doesn't make that left turn at Albuquerque.

Amy Rose

Background

“Have no fear, Amy Rose is here!”

Sonic the Hedgehog. You know him, you (mostly) love him. The Blue Blur and Hero of Mobius (I'm calling it Mobius, you can't stop me) has seen his fair share of foes, from egg-shaped scientists and doppelgänger robots to Ultimate Life Forms and reality warping space-time gods. This blue hedgehog has faced them all with little to no fear, even nightmarish foes claiming to be the End of all life and whose appearance reflects how Sonic perceives death itself. Sonic has overcome it all with a smile on his face.

Yes, nothing scares the Blue Blur... nothing except a pink hedgehog with a hammer. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Amy Rose! Amy Rose started out as your typical lovestruck damsel in distress who, with the help of her Tarot Cards, learned she would meet Sonic during his adventures on Little Planet. And when she did, it was love at first sight...for her. Sonic, on the other hand, was mostly confused and annoyed, and he had to save her from Metal Sonic on top of that.

Soon, annoyance would turn to fear, because as Amy grew more determined to gain Sonic's attention, her skills as a fighter grew as well, and she'd gain a hammer to back her up, something she wasn't afraid to use, even against Sonic himself, especially whenever he missed one of their dates! As she continued chasing after Sonic, however, something else grew as well: her confidence. In her youth, Amy struggled to believe in herself, and even on later adventures where Metal Sonic was around, she still had lingering fears from her encounter with him in Sonic CD.

But over time, she would gain confidence, enough to challenge Eggman's Badniks and E-Series robots like Zero, confront Shadow during the events of Sonic Adventure 2 aboard the ARK, storm Eggman's base on her own to save Elise, become a leader of the Resistance during Sonic Forces, overcome her fear of Metal Sonic and battle him head on, and even stand up to Sonic himself to save Gamma. Gone was the little girl who hopelessly chased after Sonic. In her place now stands a hero who can fight by his side as an equal and wants to spread love across the world...even if it keeps them apart for some time. A hero Sonic now considers an equal, a trusted friend... and perhaps something more.

Experience and Skills

One of the things I enjoyed most about this blog was getting to see Amy's growth throughout the series. In the earlier stories, especially after CD, even when she found herself in a skirmish or a situation where Metal Sonic was around, she'd be afraid of him. In one comic, while she tricks him into chasing her to help her friends and trap him in a capsule, she's still clearly terrified of him. Nowadays, though, Amy isn't just no longer afraid of Metal Sonic, she'll actively throw hands with him and even land some pretty good hits. She's an excellent fighter, with or without her hammer, as while it's her go-to weapon when it comes to combat she can throw hands, having developed her own fighting style, boxercising. She also has trained in the Ninjitsu arts under Espio in Speed Simulator.

Furthermore, Amy has been smashing Badniks alongside Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles since the Classic era, and she's only gotten better at it over the years. She also showed remarkable strategic and tactical skills, like when she quickly and efficiently giving orders to citizens of a town so they could repel the first wave of a Badnik attack, and she was the one who created a strategy for how they would counterattack Neo Metal Sonic’s invasion. She's become a great leader, someone who can step up, take charge, and lead when the situation calls for it. Like when she handled evacuation efforts across several locations during the Metal Virus plague.

Equipment

Piko Piko Hammer

Amy's signature weapon is her Piko Piko Hammer. With it she can pull it out from seemingly nowhere, and the hammer is capable of delivering powerful blows, while also functioning as a propeller, witch-broom for flight, and also launching powerful shockwaves that can create miniature tornados of pink hearts, and unleash massive releases of pink energy.

Long Hammer

With the Long Hammer her attack radius is increased.

Warrior Feather

With the Warrior Feather, Amy is able to perform the Spin Hammer Attack using her Piko Piko Hammer.

Tarot Cards

These objectively cool and based Fortune Cards, also known as the Tarot Cards, is a deck of 78 cards, used by Amy Rose to perform a variety of magical abilities. The Fortune cards feature a variety of abilities, most notably, they allow the user to learn aspects about the near future, given they have the skill to understand them. Like how she was able to predict she would meet Sonic at Neverlake in CD. In Sonic Battle, while only briefly mentioned at the start of her story, Amy claims the cards revealed Sonic's location to her.

Amy can use them as a wheel for travelling on ground or gliding mid-air, and as melee weapons, while also offering other abilities if you include Chronicles and Speed Battle:

  • Tarot Draw: Amy can draw a card from her deck and use it to foresee the future, while also cursing her target (Decreasing their luck and causing them to miss their next attack).

  • Lucky Draw: Amy can throw cards forward, causing anyone who comes into contact with it to take damage. This also has the potential to cause two different effects at random.

    • Hero Card: When the card strikes a target, Amy gains Rings.

    • Dark Card: When the card strikes a target, Amy steals whatever item they were currently holding.

  • Fortune Boost: Amy will gain a momentarily boost in speed during which she is also invincible, although taking a hit ends the boost.

  • Wall of Cards: Amy summons cards in front of her enemies, damaging them on contact. This also has the potential to cause the two different effects that Lucky Draw can have on random as well.

Gift

Gift | Sonic Wiki Zone | Fandom

Amy’s trap move in Sonic Battle is basically a set of bombs disguised as gift boxes. Now that I think about it, it’s actually pretty similar to Jokey Smurf’s exploding present gag.

Jokey Smurf: GET YOUR OWN MATERIAL LADY!

Weights

Amy can summon 16-ton weights from seemingly nowhere to flatten her foes.

Sonic Rings

(By TheNovika)

Rings are used as the health system in the games, as long as a user has at least one, it will protect them from losing a life after taking damage. It can even protect Base Level characters against stronger foes, like Void and Supreme. They can replenish energy and amplify powers like speed.

Pink Rose

The Pink Rose is Amy’s Extreme Gear, which is capable of allowing their rider to fly, or at least hover, at high speeds. Depending on the model, they are powered by Air or Gravity Points systems. These types of fuel are used for using speed boosts to accelerate the rider to high speeds, in a technique known as Kick Dash. In addition, Extreme Gear powered by Air can drop miniature Tornadoes to trip up rivals.

Ark of The Cosmos

The Arks of the Cosmos are five ancient, ring-shaped metallic stones created by the Babylonians that allow the user to manipulate gravity. The Arks of the Cosmos possess a magnetic field that allows them to take a mass's energy, or gravity, and convert it into other forms of energy, making them a powerful energy source.

This also allows them to manipulate gravity, making it possible for the wielders of the Arks to either negate gravity or create bursts of gravity that can repel obstacles at will. With it, Amy can take a specific entity's personal gravity and control it, allowing her to completely negate it to make them levitate, or create a burst of gravity to send them flying.

Item Boxes

The Item Boxes have featured in a plethora of games, dating back to the beginning of the series. They have a variety of abilities like granting invincibility, power boost, increased speed, shields including one’s granting protection against the elements; like the fire shield which protects users against all types of fire related abilities. It even grants the ability of Transmutation, through the ability Ring Time, which turns nearby enemies into rings.

Boxing Gloves

Amy has a pair of Boxing Gloves, in Chronicles they can provide the maximum fighting edge and slightly increase damage, speaking of Chronicles….

Sonic Crossworlds Items

Item

Type

Description

Notes

Boost

Boost, Wisp

Gain a burst of speed.

Also available in Time Trial, but no longer automatically granted to the player at the start of the race. Instead, it must be picked up along the course as normal in that scenario.

Can be used to avoid attacks that come from the Warp Ring, including Weight and Slime, akin to the Boost Escape from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

Functions similarly to the Team Sonic Racing iteration, though the changed Boost physics mean it functions as a prolonged boost, unlike the brief boost seen in Team Sonic Racing. Boost potency of this item overrides any currently active Level 1-to-3 boost of the user.

This type of boost can traverse Runoff terrain with no speed loss, similar to the Technique-type passive ability from Team Sonic Racing.

This item and its variants can all be used to evade King Boom Boo with good timing.

Double Boost

Boost, Wisp

Gain a burst of speed. Can be used two times.

Only appears in Item Boxes with the Double Boost Specialist Gadget equipped, which also allows the player to start a race with this item. Functions identically to a two-use version of the Boost.

Triple Boost

Boost, Wisp

Gain a burst of speed. Can be used three times, and the final burst is the strongest.

The third boost variant is also available in Time Trial, but only appears in Special Item Boxes.

The first two Boost Wisps in this trio are regular Boosts. The third Boost Wisp, also known as the King Wisp, is the most potent boost that increases current speed at 20 units/kmh while overriding all other boosts (and also lasting the longest in comparison).

Laser

Boost, Wisp

Transform into a laser to dash forward along the charted path and pass Machines ahead.

No longer fires in a line as in Team Sonic Racing; it functions more like its counterpart from Sonic Colors, where a row of Prisms appear. These shift along the holder's driving path, and once activated the user zips into them while remaining invincible.

Some racers that happen to be ahead of the Cyan Laser Wisp holder may or may not have Prisms above their heads, though zipping-into them does not damage them (thus unlike Team Sonic Racing it no longer has any offensive usage), and only a set maximum amount of prisms in front of the user are targeted.

This Wisp cannot automatically navigate the track, but depending on where it is released, the Wisp will try to place the user at the end of any possible turn in order for them to appear on a straight path as soon as they transform back. Shortcuts and/or alternate routes are only navigated through when this Wisp is activated near the said routes only.

This item can be used to evade King Boom Boo with good timing. Because the user is intangible during usage of a Laser Wisp, they cannot pick-up any rings or items along the way until they return to normal.

Drill

Boost, Wisp

Transform into a Drill. Move automatically toward the finish line.

Functions the same as it did in Team Sonic Racing, where it speeds along a preset route of the track. It provides temporary invincibility and can damage racers.

Like Cyan Laser, the preset route it chooses may ignore shortcuts and/or specific alternate routes unless activated near them. However, it is possible to direct oneself left or right during Yellow Drill to hit other racers.

Depending when and where the user activates Yellow Drill on a track, it may last longer or shorter than usual; it unlike Cyan Laser will not correct the user along the path to avoid turns upon transforming back.

This item can be used to defend against King Boom Boo. Unlike Cyan Laser, Yellow Drill still allows users to pick-up item boxes and/or rings along their path.

Warp Ring

Boost

Warp to the Machine ahead and crush it.

Only appears in Item Boxes with the Warp Ring Specialist Gadget equipped, which also allows the player to start a race with this item.

Can be evaded with a well-timed Boost Wisp of any tier when the Warp Ring appears above the target. If this item is used while in first place, the item targets a location ahead of the user instead of a racer ahead of them.

Similar to the Yellow Drill, when and where this item is activated may extend or shorten the distance the ring warps you when used in first place.

When flattened, it is possible to activate items or run over a nearby boost pad to recover quickly after a certain amount of time before fully reforming.

This item can be used to evade King Boom Boo with good timing.

Monster Truck

Boost

Transform into a Monster Truck. Crush Machines in your path.

Functions as a temporary speed increase with invincibility that flattens other racers briefly, though its form rarely changes on sea or during flight. It is a successor to the All-Star Moves from All-Stars Racing and Transformed, and to the Team Ultimate Boost from Team Sonic Racing. Can also drive over Runoff terrain with no issues.

Equipping the Monster Truck Starter Gadget allows the player to start a race with this item.

This item can be used to defend against King Boom Boo.

This item will not harm teammates, allowing them to tap-boost off of a collision instead of being flattened.

Omochao

Boost

Omochao creates a path of Rings. Pick them up to accelerate.

Omochao remains ahead of the user at a set distance when summoned. When driving through Runoff terrain, Omochao nullifies the slowdown effect similar to the Boost Wisps, but only when the user is able to collect any of its rings.[12]

Nearby racers are able to drive in front of Omochao's user to steal rings from their ring trail. Omochao's ring trail will also not properly align with its user when dropping them during a ramp jump.

Bonus Ring

Boost

Get the number of Rings shown.

Only appears in Special Item Boxes.

Homing Punch

Attack

Fire an attack that locks onto the Machine ahead.

A reprisal of the Manual Rocket from All-Stars Racing, the Drone from Transformed, and the Crimson Eagle Wisp from Team Sonic Racing, being a homing-projectile weapon. Automatically targets the closest racer to the user ahead or behind them.

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming attacks or hazards with good timing and good aim.

Triple Homing Punch

Attack

Can use Homing Punch three times.

A reprisal of the triple versions of the Manual Rocket and Crimson Eagle Wisp. Functions identically to a three-use version of the Homing Punch. Only appears in Special Item Boxes.

Rocket Punch

Attack

Fire an attack that flies straight and bounces off walls. Becomes a homing attack when locked onto a target.

A returning item from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing which was originally named the K.O. Glove. It now contains homing capabilities via a targeting reticle (center it on the chosen target, ahead or behind, to make it lock on; reticle becomes square once it locks-on after being fired).

Equipping the Giant Rocket Punch Gadget increases this item's size and its chances of appearing in Item Boxes.

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming attacks or hazards with good timing and good aim. However, it can also ricochet off of certain walls and barriers to hit its user on accident when the race is an Individual Race.

Triple Rocket Punch

Attack

Can use Rocket Punch three times.

A returning item from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Functions identically to a three-use version of the Rocket Punch. This item only appears in Special Item Boxes.

Slicer

Attack

An attack that locks onto the Machine ahead, cuts it in half, and makes the racer drop an item.

Works as a projectile that locks onto the machine of choice first, then afterwards slices off the rear end of a racer's vehicle temporarily.

Interrupts whatever action the victim was undergoing as it notably cuts down their speed/momentum for a bit. Boosting, Air-Tricking, or having the vehicle accelerate again is not possible until the vehicle starts to fully reform.

While the victim drops whatever item they were holding onto upon their vehicle being sliced, they will not lose any of their rings, nor will they drop their items if the item box roulette has not yet selected the item or the victim has a specific Gadget.

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming hazards with good timing and good aim. Additionally, in much rarer instances, it is also possible to have two different Slicers cancel each other out when they attempt to target the same racer. Once a Slicer has reached the rear end of the racer it is locked onto, it can only be blocked by the Tornado and Shield items, or by a Level 4 Boost's invincibility.

Bomb

Attack, Wisp

Fire a bomb that travels in a straight line. It gets bigger and stronger the longer it's held.

Returning from Team Sonic Racing, the Black Bomb Wisp now functions like the console version of the Bowling Bomb item from All-Stars Racing. As such, it rolls in the chosen throwing direction, bouncing against boundaries. It will instantly explode with a minor radius upon contact with a target or specific boundaries.

Whenever it is in the user's current item slot, it will start increasing in size via a gauge on its icon that fills up the longer it is held as the first slot item, up to 3 total levels where the gauge fills up two times. The maximum size/3rd level allows for bomb to flatten whomever it rolls over (like a Monster Truck or Weight).

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming attacks or hazards with good timing and good aim, but outside of team races, it may rebound at certain angles to accidentally hit its own user.

Equipping the Short Fuse Gadget shortens the time for this item to level up while held.

King Boom Boo

Attack

Summon King Boom Boo to attack the Machine in 1st place.

King Boom Boo charges up his right hand with energy upon reaching the driver in 1st place, and slams it down to unleash a row of 6 tornado geysers which are hard to avoid.

The geysers' locations are marked by glowing blue circles on the ground, with the first one starting closest from King Boom Boo's location always targeting the racer King Boom Boo is committed to attacking with possible collateral behind them.

King Boom Boo can only be blocked with a Shield (via the Item of the same name or the invincibility that the Ultimate [Level 4] Charge Gadget grants) or certain Boost items. Alternatively, the driver targeted by King Boom Boo can, with good timing, use certain other Boost items to evade King Boom Boo's strike.

Using this item when the user is in first place will cause King Boom Boo to immediately attack the user, resulting in a self-destruct, though the user in general regardless is not immune to King Boom Boo's collateral regardless of their position. The only exception is in Team Races, where the user and their whole team are all immune to King Boom Boos used by any of their teammates, themselves included. In such a scenario, King Boom Boo's attacks will be color-coded to the team that used the item.

Slime

Attack

Block the vision of all other Machines, slow them down, and make them drop all items.

Functions similar to both the Pocket Rainbow from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, and the Magenta Rhythm Wisp exclusive to the Technique-type racers (outside of Item Box Transferring) in Team Sonic Racing, only this time it also decreases the speed of the victims affected and does not muffle/distort their sound.

Victims must move their steering input (the left thumbstick on most controllers) in a circular motion to get rid of the slime obscuring them. The slime on the player's screen visually covers the upper-center and both sides.

Can be evaded with a well-timed Boost Wisp of any tier when the Warp Ring appears on above the target. Racers hit by this item will not drop their items if the item box roulette is still ongoing or if they have a certain Gadget equipped.

Weight

Attack

Drop weights on the Machines in 1st and 2nd place, crushing them and making them drop 1 item.

Flattens the victims in the same way a Monster Truck does, thus actions can still be performed when nearly recovering from being flattened.

Can be evaded with a well-timed Boost Wisp of any tier when the Warp Ring appears on above the target. Racers hit by this will not drop their items if the item box roulette is still ongoing or if they have a certain Gadget equipped.

Using this item when the user themself is in first or second place will cause the Weight to attack the user, resulting in a self-destruct. The only exception is in Team Races, where all members of a team are not targeted by any Weights thrown by themselves or their teammates, instead locking onto the two racers of the opposing team(s) that are furthest ahead.

Dark Chao

Attack

Dark Chao forcibly grants items to all Machines. If they already have an item, a new item will be redrawn.

Dark Chao appears from a Warp Ring above all racers after a delay upon usage, and slams an Item Box onto them, trading out their current set of items for an entire inventory's worth of items.

Despite some occurrences where the drivers affected by Dark Chao use their voice clips for getting hit by items or suffering from sudden speed loss, Dark Chao does not directly harm any drivers.

This item can be blocked by any Defense item or by certain Boost items, or escaped from with a well-timed Boost Wisp of any tier, but doing so will make the defender not get any items.

Dark Chao also locks out any item boxes collected for the duration of its' active period from granting any items, making Dark Chao's items take priority. However, Dark Chao does not override any currently-ongoing Item Roulettes.

Void

Defense, Wisp

Sucks in Rings and item boxes from a distance. Negates some item attacks and course obstacles.

Functions the same as in Team Sonic Racing, but is no longer exclusive to a character type (Power) outside of Item Box Transferring. The Wisp may extend its head out from the user to chomp at incoming obstacles or items, but not all track-specific hazards can be defended against.

Shield

Defense

Negates all attacks for a duration. Becomes harder to get knocked away when colliding with other Machines.

The racer glows gray for the duration and gains invincibility to all hazards and attacks, akin to the Invincibility Capsule in Team Sonic Racing. The lasting invincibility is similar to the Super Glove item from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Negates shunting from opposing racers.

This item is the only Defense-type item that can protect its user against King Boom Boo.

Tornado

Defense

Creates a tornado around the user, negating some incoming attacks. Deal damage to other Machines that come in contact while active.

This item functions similar to the Pink Spikes Wisp in Team Sonic Racing, shielding the user from certain items while also having its actual hitbox range be properly visualized. It does not last as long as Pink Spikes by default, nor does it block all track-specific hazards.

Spiked Iron Ball

Hazard

Place a road hazard that deals damage on contact.

A reprisal of the Mine from All-Stars Racing, the Blowfish/Garbage Puyo from Transformed, and the Blue Cube Wisp in Team Sonic Racing. Like the third example, it can be either thrown forward a set distance or directly dropped onto the track behind the user.

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming attacks with good timing.

It is possible to accidentally throw this item off the track depending on where and when it was thrown; throwing it against some walls may instead allow it to rebound. Iron Balls used by a racer can still affect them unless it is a Team Race, in which case they and all members of their team are immune to their own team's Iron Balls.

Magnet

Hazard

Place a road hazard that draws in Machines around it.

Once caught by a magnet, the affected racer slows down for a slight duration. A red circular aura around the magnet indicates its range. Being at the edge of said radius can pull any racers towards it at an angle, which may cause their momentum to suddenly shift despite it not making contact with the Machine.

If two or more racers are next to a Magnet, it will only connect to the first victim to make contact with it, and loses all its magnetic properties for other racers when this happens.

It is possible to use this item to destroy certain incoming attacks with good timing.

It is possible to accidentally throw this item off the track depending on where and when it was thrown; throwing it against some walls may instead allow it to rebound. Magnets used by a racer can affect them unless it is a Team Race, in which case they and all members of their team are immune to their own team's Magnets.

Mega Buster

Attack

N/A

This item is exclusive to Wily Castle, including its time trial. It can fire three shots that function similarly to the Rocket Punch, but lacks their homing or ricochet properties.

Breeze

A sentient car Amy uses in the drift series.

Pink Cabriolet

Amy’s car that she uses in all the modern racing games, it can turn into a boat, and flying vehicle as well.

Chaos Emeralds (Very Debatable)

We’re gonna delve deeper into this later, but for now just roll with it please. The powerful Emeralds are known for their might, and their ability to turn thoughts into power. The Emeralds grant a variety of powers including, performing miracles, healing, resurrection (and possible wish granting), store information, time manipulation including the ability to stop and move through time, and sealing.

The Chaos Emeralds have been stated to be the super-substances of dream, possibly making them the source of all dreams contained within Fourth Dimensional space, which is a dream in of itself due to Illumina, and would include Maginaryworld. Due to the emeralds, Solaris became a threat to all timelines and would destroy the very meaning of time itself.

In Sonic Superstars, The Emeralds have the ability to see hidden platforms and objects that are invisible, create a swarm of duplicates, liquify oneself to move in water, shapeshift into a ball of magma, manipulate plants, and Amy gets the unique ability to replicate her hammer to repeatedly throw at foes.

Abilities

Hedgehog Physiology

Hedgehogs are small, nocturnal mammals belonging to the family Erinaceidae. Renowned for their unique physical traits, they feature a spine-covered dorsal mantle for defense, a complex muscular system for curling into a tight ball, and unique sensory and metabolic adaptations designed for foraging and survival.

Adult hedgehogs possess between 5,000 and 7,000 hollow spines made of keratin, the same structural protein found in human hair and nails. When threatened, a hedgehog relies on a robust ring of muscles called the panniculus carnosus. This muscle acts like a biological drawstring, allowing the hedgehog to pull its mantle of spines together, effectively turning into an impenetrable ball where only a tiny ventral opening remains exposed.

They possess exceptionally keen olfaction and hearing, enabling them to detect insects and worms hidden under leaves or even underground, though their eyesight suck.

Also they’re natural swimmers. Sonic is just a bum.

Air Manipulation

With a swing of her hammer, Amy can release a tornado of hearts.

Super Speed

Like any hedgehog, Amy comes equipped with super speed. While not as fast as Sonic, after years of chasing after him, that innate hedgehog speed kicked in, taking her speeds to new heights.

Amy Heal

Amy Heal is a healing skill. The skill can restore HP at a decent speed, but has minimal speed restoring the Ichikoro Gauge.

Amy Flash

No Chaos Emerald required, just by blowing a kiss, Amy can temporarily freeze her foe in place.

Invisibility

This move is useless, her shadow is still there. Look, the robot even shoots her accurately immediately after going invisible.

Spin Dash

Headcanon: Amy had learned how to jump into a ball and Spin Dash in the Classic days as seen in Sonic Superstars and Origins, but during the timejump from the Classic to

The iconic Spin Dash. By curling into a ball and revving herself up, Amy combines her speed and power into a devastating attack capable of tearing through any Badniks in her path.

Cyloop

This technique allows the user to create an updraft by circling around a target, and send enemies flying. The Cyloop can also be used to interact with puzzles and other environmental objects in the levels, such as blowing torches out. Using it on an empty field can also reveal hidden Rings, Memory Tokens, Seeds and other rare items.

By drawing an infinity symbol with the Cyloop's trail, the player will be rewarded with infinite usage of the Boost for a short while, without having to rely on Ring Energy. Amy also has her own variant, The Cyhammer. When performing the Cyhammer, Amy pulls out her Piko Piko Hammer and smashes it onto the ground, while an updraft surrounds her in the shape of a heart.

Parry

Guarding will put Amy  in a defensive stance that, when hit, will make her auto parry the attack. Depending on the enemy, Amy will activate a slow-motion mode, allowing her to freely attack unharmed within its time frame

She also possesses a unique parry where Amy can leave enemies poisoned for a short amount of time. This even works on the inorganic, robotic beings across Ouranos Island.

Homing Attack

The iconic Homing Attack is one of Sonic's signature moves, and one that Amy eventually learns herself. It is a technique that allows the user to swerve while in midair, automatically zeroing in and striking a nearby enemy with a midair Spin Attack.

POW Moves

  • Low Blow: Amy tries to hit a target at its weakest point, leaving it vulnerable.

    • 175% of Attack damage

    • Vulnerable 1 (80% chance)

  • Tantrum: Amy delivers a series of concussive hammer attacks that may leave her target sluggish.

    • 150% of Attack damage

    • Sluggish 1 (40% chance)

Ice Boost

When activated, the Ice Boost greatly increases the user's speed for a short period of time and will only end early if the user collides with an obstacle. Additionally, any rival who comes into contact with the user while the Ice Boost is active will lose Rings and become frozen.

Resistance:

Weaknesses

(This cover was diabolical)

Amy doesn't really have any major weaknesses, at least not any physical ones. I'd say her biggest flaw is her temper, though even that's something she's gotten much better at managing these days. If the Super Form is used, it's worth noting that the standard Super Forms have a time limit. Even at their best, they will eventually run out, and in some cases, reverting from the transformation can leave the user tired.

Forms

Lola Bunny

Nova Bunny

In the cosmic void, all energy convenes at a single point. Those who come in contact with it are gifted with a power that is never truly under control.

I don't know what that means, but ladies and gentlemen, this is Nova Bunny, basically Lola when she stops giving a crap about everything and fully embraces evil. She wields incredible power. Her Cosmic Reconstruction can heal her team for 223 health, plus an additional 11 health for every damage-over-time effect currently active. But that's just scratching the surface, let's break down the rest of her abilities.

Solar Flare

Lola’s Solar Flare can deal (80/85/90/95/105% Attack) damage to target and (50% Attack) damage to a random enemy, inflicting Damage Over Time with each attack.

Cleansing Flame

Once per battle, whenever Lola falls below 30% Max Health, Lola will summon cosmic rocks from space, and release a devastating attack, which also heals to full, gains +50% Attack for the rest of battle.

Temperamental

Whenever Lola is hit, their opponent is inflicted with 1-2 damage over time.

Nova Burst

Once per battle, whenever Lola falls below 30% Max Health, it heals to full, gains +50% Attack for the rest of battle, and uses Cleansing Flame.

Amy

Super Amy

(art by @_kcar)

We’ll discuss this more later, but with the power of The Seven Chaos Emeralds, Amy gains her own Super Powered Transformation! When combining the power of all seven emeralds, a super form gives its users tremendous power which includes, Invulnerability, Flight, manipulating space-time, duplication, and energy construction.

Additionally, Chaos Emeralds can turn thoughts into power, perform miracles, form defensive barriers, and just having one emerald prevented Sonic and Tails from being altered by Eggman’s Phantom Ruby, which messed with reality and their entire history. Super Forms also allow the users to draw in and absorb light, allowing them to use this light in combat.

Super Sonic could tank the Eyes of Solaris which instantly kills on contact, bypass regeneration, create an aura so explosive that it consumes duplicates of Perfect Chaos, dispel alternate worlds created by Eggman (which Ivo calls Sonic destroying his dreams), which makes sense considering The Phantom Ruby abilities, and Super Sonic nullified the Phantom Rubies effects.

More impressively Sage stated that Sonic was transcending causality, due to resisting cyber corruption, despite its attunement being the ruling of everything in the universe that exists that has gone unchallenged since time immemorial, The End referred to its own defeat as something that transcends law and time. Super Forms can also function in the Egg Reverie Zone, a dimension where time is constantly distorted and causes Base characters to float aimlessly, displayed further when they are helpless once again upon reverting back.

On the topic of their invulnerability, Super Forms are empowered by Chaos Energy that largely stems from the will and emotions of the user, best displayed through Shadow being immune to all sources of damage when unleashing the hidden power of good or evil from within himself that allows him to tap into a reserve of enhanced Chaos Powers.

As a Super Form is a transformation empowered by the negative or positive emotions of the user, their Invulnerability is tied to emotional power harnessed through the Chaos Emeralds. Super forms are verbatim stated to be invincible, indestructible and invulnerable

They also have resistances to transmutation (and biological/disease) manipulation as shown by when it prevented Zavok's infection and cured Sonic of the Metal Virus the moment he transformed into Super Sonic. The Metal Virus in question transforms organic tissue into a metallic substance through physical contact to create a mindless Zombot.

Scaling

Lola

Bugs Bunny

Bugs and Lola Bunny, two of fiction's most iconic couples, rivaled only by Mickey and Minnie, ironically. Lola has consistently shown that she can keep up with, and even outpace, the legendary Trickster Extraordinaire himself. In one humorous moment, she was even able to restrain him by grabbing him by the neck. This shouldn't disqualify her scaling, however, as humor is the backbone of Looney Tunes. Because of that, scaling Lola to Bugs is perfectly reasonable.

Tune Squad

Like I said earlier, Lola is, physically, the most athletic Toon and has shown that she's capable of not only keeping up with her friends, but battling them on even footing as well. She's also survived plenty of their antics before, so scaling her to them is fine. I mean, if she can scale to Bugs, she can scale to the rest of them.

Amy

Sonic The Hedgehog

The Legendary Blue Blur himself. While saying Amy is completely on Sonic's level is questionable, she has shown that she's capable of battling with him on even footing and keeping up with him as well. Furthermore, she's fought Sonic before, so scaling her to him, at least to some extent, is okay..

Friends

Amy has tons of friends, many of whom she is directly comparable to. As for characters like Knuckles, Silver, Blaze, and especially Shadow, while she may not be fully on their level, she's still able to keep up with them and fight them on even footing. Combined with her (somewhat) comparability to Sonic, that means she can reasonably scale to them to some extent.

Villains

Now, some of the foes listed above are incredibly powerful, even stronger than Amy, but she can still reasonably scale to them. This is especially true for Metal Sonic, whom, even during the Classic era, Amy was able to evade for a time and even hit Sonic hard enough to send him flying into the sky to catch up with him. Plus, in the recent 35th Anniversary animation, Amy is shown directly fighting Metal Sonic alongside her friends, keeping up with him and landing some solid hits. She should also be fully capable of scaling to Eggman, who, at least in their world, is essentially just a normal human compared to her.

Super Tier

On her own, this level of power is beyond her grasp. But with the Seven Chaos Emeralds...well, Amy can be compared to some of the strongest beings in the entire franchise.

Before The Verdict

Cosmology

Lola

(Source for Cosmology)

Alright, let's break this down. The Tunes universe is pretty vast, being stated to be infinite in size and containing everything you'd typically expect a universe to have, including a Heaven and Hell, both of which are treated as separate realms from the main universe. On top of this, we have alternate universes, such as those found in the Serververse, Keeweeland, the Ghost Dimension, the 5th Dimension, and the bizarre dimension Yosemite and Marvin end up in. There are also claims that even more universes exist beyond these.

Now even beyond this, we must look at the theory of alternate timelines. Brain believes that a single change in history can create other parallel realities as a result of the change in just one reality, meaning that every instance of time travel in the cosmology would result in alternate timelines being created. For example, Brain once was caught in the Groundhog Day loop, in order to escape it; Brain altered the events within that timeline from between tens of thousands to even millions of times. This action would result in alternate timelines being created as a result of every time Brain has changed history in that timeline.

Furthermore, Brain would do this again with another device, resulting in him “disputing the very fabric of the universe, creating evermore bizarre unstable timelines”, implying the existence of infinite timelines being created from his actions. It's also possible that changing history does indeed create alternative timelines, though time has been altered plenty of times in Looney Tunes.

But even all of that seems small in comparison to the Animator Realm, which exists above the lower parts of the Looneyverse and has been shown to transcend them entirely, being seen as mere fictional property in the eyes of the animator, the true god of it all; the very reason behind its creation. The interpretation can vary, sometimes contained within one or a few pieces of paper and other times its mere data contained into a network, with the most notable being the Serververse.

However, one thing remains the same: Tune World, in all its complexity, including every dimension that resides within the fictional realm, is seen in a much smaller, 2D, finite scale in comparison to this realm, despite the lower Looneyverse being confirmed as infinite. This all means that despite it being confirmed as a higher plane of existence where the one residing in the realm has full control over those in Tune World, the Tune Squad has on many occasions,  interacted with the Animator physically and even pulled them into Tune World.  While it could be a higher dimensional space, it could also be a space of the same dimensionality as the Looney Verse but just in a further realm. Regardless, it makes the entire lower Looneyverse look like mere fiction in comparison.

The safest argument for the cosmology is multiversal-multiversal+, but there are definitely arguments to get even as high as Low Complex Multiversal.

The basic universe's, this includes:

  • Sonic’s Universe: The main universe where the vast majority of the games take place.

  • Silver’s Future: A literal hell on Earth, and the alternate timeline from which Silver comes from.

  • Sol Dimension: The dimension where Blaze and Marine reside. Blaze is referred to as a princess from another dimension.

  • The World of the Arabian Nights: A world made up the stories of the Arabian Nights, while it's hard to prove that all 1,001 Nights are their own separate universes, there exist a place within the Night Palace which transports you to a different space-time, so the Arabian Nights should at least consist of 2 universes.

  • The World of Camelot: A world inspired by Arthurian legends.

  • The Sequences of the Shadow the Hedgehog game: The many pathways to complete the Shadow the Hedgehog game which are saved by the game to view in the Library Option in Story Mode, there exist 326 in total.

  • Sleeping Egg Zone: A dream world created by Doctor Eggman.

  • Egg Reverie Zone: A dimension where time constantly shifts back and forth, even to points which don't exist.

  • Null Space: A dimension described as an endless void of nothingness.

  • Chaotic Inferno Zone: The homeworld of the Ifrit.

  • Cyber Space: A digital world created by the abstract feelings of the Ancients.

  • Cyberspace: Another digital world which appeared in Shadow the Hedgehog which relays information to and from Earth. There exists at least 2 Cyberspaces, the United Federation and the Eggman Empire.

  • Aqua Planet Zone’s dimension: The dimension where Aqua Planet Zone resides.

  • Flicky Dimension: The parallel dimension where the Flickies reside.

  • Special Stage Universe (Sonic Chaos): The universe where the Special Stages take residence in Sonic Chaos, differing to the other Special Stages, are all stated to reside in a single universe.

  • Stardust Speedway’s Bad Future: The dystopian future of Stardust Speedway.

  • Sonic Riders’ Digital Dimension

  • Shatterverse: The Shatterverse is a multiverse which was created by the good doctor playing Sonic into breaking the Paradox Prism  there are stated to be a number of Shatterspaces (alternate realities birthed from the universe's split), but so far the only we know that exist are:

  • New Yoke City: A dystopian world which is ruled with an iron fist by the Chaos Council

  • No Place: A dimension which contains an endless expanse of ocean

  • Bozcage Maze: A dimension containing a thick jungle

  • The Grim: A dimension devoid of life and covered by a vast desert

  • Ghost Hill: The ghostly and corrupted remains of the original Green Hill

  • Egg Toy Land: A twisted toy world created by Eggman

Special Stages are where The Chaos Emeralds reside in a lot of the games, they are alternate realities, an example includes Fang's dimension. It is implied in Rush they are entered by dimensional distortions.

Outside of the 14 in 3&k, there are seven special stages in each game, multiply that by the number of games they feature (19), you get 140 dimensions.

Maginaryworld is where Illumina, the Forcejewels and the Precioustone reside. It is a dream world created from the dreams of people in other dimensions through the power of the Precioustone, and contains parts of everyone's dreams. Maginaryworld was almost plunged into darkness by Void when he shattered the perfected Precioustone into pieces.

Dreams and reality coexist in Maginaryworld, everyone's dreams exist separately, with Illumina manifesting in each of the quartet's dreams. We can assume that there exist as many dream worlds as beings who are capable of dreaming, with the Maginaryworld being stated to be the source of all dreams across all dimensions.

Dreams are shown to contain starry skies and nebulae and large celestial bodies. Visions of the past are considered as dreams. One example as supporting evidence of dreams being universe level in size is, Chao in Space animation, in which a Chao dreams of an interstellar battle in deep space.

In it we see numerous galaxies in the same manner that is shown in the dream world located within the Maginaryworld. Wishes and Desires can become real in MaginaryWorld, like how Lumina states “Maginaryworld... The world where everyone's dreams come true... Precioustone... The crystalized essence of everyone's dreams... But... There are many different kinds of dreams. Ambition, Possession, Domination... These are dreams from the dark realm. Is that... Void?”

Any desire like The End's goal to "tear down the walls between dimension and consume all" have a place in MaginaryWorld.

Then we have the Dreamscape worlds where dreams can come true once a person is put to sleep by the Reverie. The Reverie artifact can make dream worlds become real, albeit only once a millennium,  while Maginary is not directly mentioned it's still connected since Maginary is the source of all dreams, and more so, Ariem does state she has creators who enforces rules on her, likely referencing Illumina, who is the only other confirmed dreamweaver in the series, and Illumina possesses Void’s energy within itself; a being who is required for dreams to exist.  The realm also has its own flow of time.

To wrap this section up, there is a 4th dimensional space where all dreams are stored and also Illumina's dream. It's also referred to as an "infinite 4-dimensional space”.

Other stuff:

In the otherworld comedy story, advertisements mentioned how the final battle takes place in an "infinite super other-dimensional space". Null Space is confirmed to be infinite in size and an endless void.

White Space has no sort of time, Time Eater's lair (which is at the end of time) contains an infinite tunnel,  which is reinforced as the end of time, still has a flow of time.

Crisis City is called a universe.

It should be mentioned that in episode four of TailsTube, our fox boy genius mentions that the multiverse contains endless possibilities and the possibility of infinite parallel Sonics existing and possibly confirming the existence of infinite universes. Ian Flynn also backs this up. Thus this remains a huge possibility tho.

All of this means that, at a minimum, Sonic's cosmology can reach Low Multiversal, with arguments for it scaling even higher if you do buy 4D Maginaryworld, which could get to Multiversal+. However, something to note is that one magazine that refers to MaginaryWorld as 4-D, is in fact made by SoftBank.

Which is a known partner with SEGA, having helped them with their games distributions and writing licensed game magazines, so it may not be enough to sustain the magazine statement as wholly true, as it turns out that it has never been officially licensed by SEGA.

A more in depth version of the cosmology can be found here.

Is Lola a Toon?

Well, yeah, obviously Lola is a Toon, a Looney Tune. I think the better way to phrase the question is whether Lola is, first, capable of the same Looney abilities as her companions, and second, whether she should scale to them, especially since she wasn't part of the original run of cartoons.

Now, if this were based solely on the Space Jam movies, I'd understand the skepticism, considering Lola doesn't really do anything...well, Looney. She's still a Toon and would naturally possess Looney DNA, but outside of the general resistances that Toons have, it'd be difficult to argue that she could replicate the same abilities as the other Looney Tunes. That becomes even harder when Lola herself admits she's not really "Looney" in the Space Jam: A New Legacy comic adaptation.

However, Space Jam isn't Lola's only appearance. In fact, her personality in those films, especially the sequel, is an outlier compared to the rest of her appearances throughout the franchise, despite those movies being her debut into the series. Even in the original Space Jam, Lola shows off fourth-wall manipulation by literally pulling the screen down to transition into the next scene.

In the DC Comics, she can survive being stabbed by multiple pitchforks, and stung by jellyfish, talk to the fourth wall, occupy several places at once, and even use pizza as a bungee cord. While The Looney Tunes Show is more grounded than most Looney Tunes series, Lola can still survive an exploding oil truck and battle skeleton monsters. Personality-wise, the only version that's even loonier than The Looney Tunes Show's Lola is the New Looney Tunes version, who, as mentioned earlier, is essentially a combo of DC Comics Lola and The Looney Tunes Show Lola.

This makes sense, as New Looney Tunes is much closer in tone to the original theatrical shorts. In the series, Lola can literally make her car walk to avoid jagged sections of the road, rev her wheels hard enough to cause the road to sprout upward into a giant fleur-de-lis that Rhonda crashes into, and, once again, occupy multiple places at the same time. In other appearances, she's shown defying gravity, altering her environment, talking while frozen solid, jumping into a hat and changing her appearance, and even inflating one of her arms into a massive muscular arm.

Finally, in Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, all the Toons can battle each other, including Lola, meaning scaling to other Toons is also fair game. So yeah, not only is Lola a toon, she’s indeed a very Looney one.

Should Amy get The Chaos Emeralds?

Okay, so I don't know what the consensus is on this, but I do have my own thoughts on it. Amy's first appearance involving the Chaos Emeralds and a Super Form was in Sonic Origins, where she can collect the Emeralds in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and transform. However, those moments aren’t considered canon.

Amy's first canonical appearance in the games is Sonic CD, which takes place before Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles happens immediately afterward. Since Amy isn't canonically present in either of those games, I don't think those Super transformations should count. However, Super Amy, or her “Super Powers” form, makes its first canonical appearance in Sonic Superstars, a game where Amy's role isn't up for debate. She's part of the story, present throughout its events, and a fully playable character.

So, end of the discussion: Amy gets the Emeralds. Well, there's still a bit more to discuss. Amy hasn't used her “Super Powers” since Sonic Superstars in any game that canonically takes place afterward, all the way into the modern era. While she can still collect the Chaos Emeralds, she doesn't use them to achieve a Super Form. Not to mention, this would make the form highly non-standard. At least Sonic and Shadow have begun games with one or all of the Chaos Emeralds, and Blaze always has the Sol Emeralds on her person.

So, Super Amy is not canon, but “Super Powers” Amy is. However, it only has a single canonical appearance and hasn't been used since, making it a very non-standard form. Personally, I don't think it should be used, but I'm not opposed to anyone else including it. I'll consider it for this debate since I know a fair number of people would like to see the form, and it is legitimately cool.

Verdicts

(Thank you Retro Watcher for supplying the art)

Well, we've been through a lot, but now it's time to wrap this up. I had such a good time researching for this blog and thoroughly enjoyed going through both series' material, especially Lola's. I'll take any chance I can get to rewatch The Looney Tunes Show. We have four categories to discuss: experience, skills, stats, and abilities. Let's get started.

Experience

When it comes to experience, both Lola and Amy have plenty of it. Lola has been going on adventures since the Space Jam days, supporting her fellow Tunes in high-stakes basketball games. Furthermore, she's been on countless adventures as a pizza delivery girl, traveling through temples, Atlantis, and even Olympus, all in the name of delivering pizzas to her customers. However, I think it's hard to argue that Lola has the experience to match Amy, who's been going on adventures since the Classic era and has faced a much greater variety of foes by comparison. While Lola has battled skeleton monsters, a giant golem robot, tigers, squids, robots, and even her fellow Tunes, Amy has faced similar enemies and has been doing so for much longer.

Not to mention, she was part of a war and served as one of its main leaders. To put it into perspective, most of Amy's appearances have her fighting in some capacity. Not all of Lola's appearances have her engaged in battle; usually, Lola is more of a trickster, relying on her wits and Toon-like nature to take down her opponents rather than actively throwing hands. Also, technically speaking, even from an outside perspective, Amy's first adventure was in 1993, while Lola's wasn't until 1996.

So I’d give experience to Amy overall.

Skills

But what about skills? Amy herself is more than a capable fighter, she's extremely skilled. She's able to take down countless Eggman Badniks and robots, fight evenly alongside the likes of Sonic and Knuckles, and nowadays she's even able to hold her own against the likes of Metal Sonic.

Even in hand-to-hand combat, she's an excellent fighter, having developed her own fighting style, Boxercising. On top of that, she's trained in the art of ninjutsu under Espio. So when it comes to skill, Amy has plenty of it. Surprisingly enough, Lola has the skills to match. She's also an excellent hand-to-hand fighter, and she might even be better since she's more likely to rely on that style of combat than Amy.

For years, she trained under Wonder Woman and became an Amazonian warrior. Furthermore, while Amy is highly proficient with hammers, Lola is skilled with swords, axes, bows and arrows, blasters, harpoons, and more. Lola can even turn a basketball into a weapon. She's also noticeably more athletic than Amy, not that Amy is a slouch. So when it comes to pure fighting skill, I'd give the edge to Lola. Heck, she's so skilled in combat that even when she didn't realize robots were attacking her, she still managed to defeat them, all while being completely engrossed in the song.

But when it comes to smarts, there's a bit more to discuss. In terms of combat, I'd probably say Amy is the better tactician, since she could quickly and efficiently give orders to citizens of a town so they could repel the first wave of a Badnik attack, and she was the one who created a strategy for how they would counterattack Neo Metal Sonic’s invasion. But I’d still say Lola is generally smarter, she once broke into a museum to steal a diamond, bypassed its security, and did so again after it amped up the security, and while Bugs was with her the second time, she came up with the plan on her own. She’s smart enough to build a car, tap into Bugs phoneline, and hack the codes with set up the lasers in his house.

Plus, she’s just as good of a trickster as Bugs, again we have moments where during a race, while her opponents struggled through the course, Lola’s quick thinking allowed her to create a shortcut for herself to reach the finish faster. As a private investigator, Lola was able to deduce that Taz was the one responsible for the buildings being destroyed, while also uncovering the real culprits who had manipulated him into causing the destruction.

So, while Amy has shown better tactical capabilities, Lola’s superior training, versatile fighting style, athleticism, and natural wit and intelligence allow her to just edge Amy out.

So while Amy takes experience, Lola takes skills.

Stats

So, if Lola takes skill and Amy takes experience, then who takes the stats? Well, I think it's pretty obvious that Amy is physically stronger. She's able to wield The Heavy Egg Hammer which is twice her size and use it. She's also tough enough to help her friends bring the Riot Train, a speeding locomotive, to a halt, and she was even able to leave a massive dent in the Mirage Express. Amy would totally beat Lola in an arm wrestle, but strength ain’t power.

Lola once survived being eaten by Taz and even being hit by his iconic spinning attack, restrain Bugs, and she can even withstand blows from Gossamer. As Nova Bunny, Lola can control cosmic rocks, while as Frostbane Lola, she can crack the Earth. She has shown that she can keep up with the other Tunes, and in World of Mayhem she can fight them on relatively even footing. This means Lola could scale to the other Tunes, including her boyfriend, Bugs Bunny, who once survived reality being drained out of existence, only to paint it back to life. Daffy can shoot down the Moon and, alongside Porky, run so fast that they destroy the cartoon they're in. While Taz was able to spin so fast that he’s able to spin the entire tune world connected to the serverse.

Comparatively, Amy can be compared to other base-tier Sonic characters, such as... Sonic! Sonic once broke the chain linking it to Little Planet, and is able to withstand the explosion of the Paradox Prism, which shattered the entire universe, and created the Shatterverse. Sonic was also able to battle Emerl, who was powered by the Final Egg Blaster, a weapon capable of destroying stars. All of this is impressive, but it doesn't quite match what Lola can scale to.

We're talking Multiversal versus Universal at best. The gap in power is simply too wide, and speed isn't much better. While Amy could scale to feats ranging as high as 58.216748 billion times the speed of light to potentially 1.46 quintillion times the speed of light, Lola, and this isn't even scaling, can occupy several places at once, which has been described being “ because of the acceleration of their “maniac speeds” that gives off the illusion of self-replication.” That’s immeasurable on its own, and that’s not to mention the other infinite-immeasurable feats that Lola could scale too.

Meaning that no matter how you slice it Lola takes stats.

Now then lets move on to our final category abili—

Huh wait what?

(Amy art by Emistations)

Oh right….Super Amy

Okay, well, if you do include Super Amy, things get a bit trickier. Through scaling to her fellow Toons, as mentioned earlier, Lola can reach Multiversal to Multiversal+ levels of power. That's something you could potentially argue for Amy as well through scaling, especially if you buy into the idea of infinite universes (especially for White Space), even though that remains largely theoretical at this point in time.

If you take a higher interpretation of Sonic's cosmology and Amy's potential scaling, then she could potentially match Lola in terms of raw stats with the Chaos Emeralds and her Super form, with this interpretation. Furthermore, Amy could also potentially match Lola in speed if you buy into Sonic's Infinite to Immeasurable speed arguments, I personally do. This would mean the stats become a tie, right? Well, not exactly.

The Looney Tunes also has ways to reach Low Complex Multiversal levels. If those are taken into account, then despite her tremendous power, Amy would still be less powerful than Lola. So, they only truly tie if you scale the Looney Tunes to Multi+ and Sonic to similar heights. Otherwise, Lola would still maintain a noticeable advantage in raw power.

Abilities

Personally, I'm going to take the approach that, with the Chaos Emeralds and Lola only scaling to Multiversal+, the two would ultimately tie in both power and speed. That means the debate ultimately comes down to their abilities. When it comes to abilities, there's a lot to discuss here, especially when taking World of Mayhem and Sonic Chronicles into account. I'll do my best to explain everything as clearly and understandably as possible, especially since this is my first time tackling RPG elements. So, with that out of the way, let's wrap this up.

These two have so much they can throw at each other, not just through their physical abilities, but through their arsenals as well. Of course, Amy has her iconic hammer, which Lola can surprisingly match with her axe. Furthermore, Lola has a much more versatile arsenal. While Amy primarily sticks to various hammers of different sizes, Lola wields a wide range of weapons, including giant flyswatters, harpoons, blasters, bows and arrows, and even a sword.

Speaking of that axe, it can generate a chilling effect capable of freezing enemies. However, Sonic characters, including Amy, have broken out of being frozen before, and the Ice Boost produces similar effects. While Lola has also broken free from being frozen, it took her noticeably longer than it does your average Sonic character.

Amy's Tarot Cards are also incredibly useful. They can temporarily increase her speed, allow her to glide in a manner comparable to Lola, and even function as melee weapons. More importantly, they grant Amy glimpses into the future, not outright revealing exactly what will happen, but giving her insight into what she should prepare for. Tarot Draw can also curse its target, decreasing their luck and causing their next attack to miss. Lola doesn't have a direct resistance to this, though if it's treated as a standard debuff, abilities like Squeaky Cleaner should be able to remove it. Otherwise, the only real argument for resisting it would come from broader Toon Force interpretations, which is a bit more speculative.

Lucky Draw can be parried by This One's For You, and while Dark Card can steal one of Lola's items, it can only take one at a time. Given Lola's extensive arsenal and her superior speed, at least in her base form, it's unlikely Amy would be able to land the attack often enough to meaningfully strip away her equipment. Fortune Boost does give Amy invincibility, but only for a limited time, and Lola has similar methods of gaining temporary invincibility through her own items. In fact, both fighters have multiple ways of becoming temporarily invulnerable, making the invincibility itself less of a deciding factor. The extra burst of speed is the more useful power of this ability.

Even better for Amy, while Lola has a variety of abilities and weapons capable of inflicting Silence, Stun, Freeze, stat reductions, and other negative effects, Amy has all the counters she needs through the Immunity Idol and Cure All Spray, allowing her to become immune to or remove many of those status effects.

The Zoah Shield is another major advantage. Earlier I mentioned that both fighters possess numerous methods of becoming temporarily invincible. However, unlike most of those abilities, the Zoah Shield grants Amy invulnerability with no apparent time limit, only ending if she swaps shields or it is removed through status effects. Combined with the Angel Amulet, which allows Amy to revive after being defeated, it gives her another layer of survivability and a noticeable edge in endurance.

However, it's not like Lola is completely helpless here. In fact, while Amy has answers to nearly all of her items and several of her strongest abilities, Lola still possesses two major techniques that Amy lacks a clear counter to: Power Replication and Reductio Ad Absurdum. The Tunes were able to replicate Taz’s iconic spin, meaning that theoretically speaking, Lola could replicate Amy’s own abilities, meaning that Amy’s best abilities aren't guaranteed to stay exclusive to her. But undoubtedly,  Reductio Ad Absurdum is Lola 's best move, it allows her to flip Amy’s buffs immediately, turning her beneficial effects against Amy. Even if she isn’t buffed, it inflicts multiple debilitating stat reductions instead, putting Amy into a lose-lose scenario, turning one of her greatest strengths against her.

So, with all these items and abilities both can throw at each other, the real question is this: with all her powers and equipment, can Amy put Lola down for good? The answer is, well, no. Amy possesses a vast arsenal, and the Chaos Emeralds grant her a form powerful enough to keep pace with Lola in terms of raw stats. However, despite all of that, none of Amy's abilities provide a reliable way to permanently put Lola down. Lola is a toon, and as Bugs says, toons can survive anything, this includes being reduced to only eyeballs, a skeleton, shattered while frozen, being turned into popcorn, liquified, disintegrated, blowing up into nothing, the paper they’re on being torn, their physical body erased, spirits being disintegrated and popping, and also, having their information deleted.

Even if some of those feats took time, for example, Bugs surviving his information being deleted is never expanded upon enough to determine exactly how long his recovery took, it still demonstrates just how resilient Toon bodies truly are. If even relatively inexperienced Toons can survive forms of existence erasure, it only reinforces the insane levels of survivability and regeneration that characters like Lola can reasonably be compared to.

Also, while the Emeralds and Super Forms do offer a variety of abilities, Amy has never demonstrated those abilities in the modern setting, where the best Chaos Powers lie. While, theoretically, she could, after all, Sonic pulled off Chaos Control with no experience and a fake Emerald on his first try, it would be a bit of a stretch to say Amy could do the same. Unlike Lola, whose entire body is made of Toon Physiology, Sonic and Shadow's capabilities with Chaos come from their skill (and body, in Shadow's case). Amy is mostly going to be using her Super Form for offense, and that can only take her so far until she runs out of time and reverts back to base.

In the end, while Amy may hold a slight edge in overall versatility with her arsenal, Lola's own abilities remain far more difficult to counter, and while Amy puts up a mighty battle, especially in the abilities department with all her powers and skills, Lola just edges her out overall.

Lola takes abilities.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Amy put up a decently good fight. She's more experienced, can be interpreted as equally as powerful and fast with her Super Form, and counters a good chunk of Lola's own abilities and items. However, what Lola lacked in experience, she made up for with her skills, smarts, wits, her own power and speed, overwhelming survivability, and Toonfoolery, allowing her to hold her own against Amy's best abilities and land her own decisive ones, ultimately allowing her to take the win.

In a battle that came down to a Hare’s race, Lola rose to the challenge. That’s All Folks!

Lola Bunny

“Don’t ever call me, Doll”

Advantages:

  • Against Base Amy, Lola blitzes and is far more powerful

  • Toon Physiology and extraordinary survivability make her extremely difficult to permanently defeat

  • More skilled fighter

  • Smarter and more naturally deceptive (trickster nature).

  • Power Replication and Reductio Ad Absurdum are matchup defining abilities Amy lacks clear answers to

  • More versatile melee weapons

  • More athletic

Equal:

  • Depending on interpretation, both can be equally powerful and equally fast

Disadvantages:

  • Less experienced

  • Amy is the better battlefield tactician

  • Amy's arsenal provides slightly greater overall versatility

  • Amy counters a large portion of Lola's items and status-inflicting abilities

  • Potentially lacks a clear answer to the Ark of the Cosmos

  • Dark Card can steal one of Lola's items

  • It was me Barry

Amy Rose

"I know that people fight over the most trivial things. Some people may be selfish, like the Professor said... but they're basically good! Why This Matchup

Since the moment my boy Flip created this matchup, it immediately became my favorite Amy Rose matchup. Outside of Sakura, I've never been a fan of many of Amy's other popular matchup ideas, either because the connections were too barebones or because they leaned too heavily into Super Amy, whose canonicity is, at best, dubious. But this one, this one right here, is perfect.

Before diving into everything I want to see from this matchup, let's first break down the connections. Shoutout to Flip for the connections as these are his words:

  • Both Lola Bunny and Amy Rose's most defining interpretations share a blend of eccentric energy and intense devotion to their respective romantic interests, Bugs Bunny and Sonic the Hedgehog. In The Looney Tunes Show, Lola gained way more notoriety as she was reimagined as hilariously scatterbrained, with a chaotic yet endearing personality that often puts Bugs in uncomfortable but amusing situations. Similarly, Amy’s relentless affection for Sonic is expressed through her bold, often comedic attempts to pursue him, though her over-the-top antics frequently lead to chaos.

  • Both characters started as one-dimensional love interests: Lola in Space Jam as a confident, sultry basketball player, and Amy in Sonic CD as a damsel chasing Sonic. However, modern versions expanded their personalities. Lola became a quirky, unpredictable character with an awkward charm in The Looney Tunes Show, while Amy evolved into a headstrong, determined character who balances her affection for Sonic with true heroism, showcasing her as a character capable of balancing comedic antics with genuine growth.

  • Humor defines their characters. Lola’s unfiltered stream-of-consciousness dialogue and impulsive decisions, like renting out Bugs’ house for an insane scheme, make her the chaotic centerpiece of The Looney Tunes Show. Amy, too, adds comedy through her unwavering confidence and temper, such as wildly misinterpreting situations involving Sonic or her overly dramatic attempts to show off her strength and capability.

  • Both characters share surprising moments of competence. While Lola often appears completely detached from reality, she unexpectedly displays impressive athleticism, martial arts skills, and other talents, like her flawless musical performance or exceptional driving skills. Amy, often underestimated for her romantic obsession, proves her strength as a hammer-wielding fighter who can stand her ground against powerful enemies, showing that she’s more than just a lovestruck sidekick.

  • Their relationships with their love interests highlight their determination and boldness. Lola’s unrelenting (and often absurd) pursuit of Bugs makes for comedic moments, but her loyalty and care for him shine through. Amy’s dynamic with Sonic is similarly intense, her love for him drives her to fight alongside him, though her obsession sometimes leads to clashes. Despite this, both characters show a genuine desire to support their partners in their unique, if unconventional, ways.

  • Both characters are tied to unconventional found families. Lola finds herself at odds with Bugs’ structured world but becomes part of the close-knit Looney Tunes cast through her chaotic yet lovable energy. Similarly, Amy’s place in Team Sonic sees her not just as the lovesick member but also as someone deeply valued for her determination and emotional support.

  • Historically, their reinventions mark major turning points in their franchises. Both characters now stand as examples of how reinvention can transform love interests into fully realized, unique personalities. It's also Sonic the Hedgehog VS Looney Tunes, this writes itself.

  • They both also have quite the temper as well.

With the connections out of the way, let's break down what I'd like to see from this matchup. The first thing I want to say is that I'm aware of the community's weariness toward putting non-Toon Force characters against Toon Force characters, especially if it's a spite-driven stomp, as we've seen with Bakugo vs. Squidward.

However, what differentiates this matchup from not only other Toon matchups but Looney Tunes matchups as well is that, yes, while Toon Force will certainly be a part of Lola's arsenal, this isn't going to be an all-out, screen-breaking, reality-warping display of toonfoolery. Lola is generally portrayed as someone who reacts to the absurdity of her world and uses her wits and skills to overcome it. She has absolutely used Toon Force before, after all, defying gravity, altering her environment, and manipulating the fourth wall are nothing to scoff at, but she prefers relying on her athleticism, physical capabilities, intelligence, and trickster nature first, with her tooniness serving as support rather than her primary fighting style.

Which works, because this matchup isn't just Amy getting mogged by Toon Force shenanigans the entire time with no way to respond. While there should absolutely be moments where she's left confused or baffled, like Lola suddenly appearing right beside her after Amy was certain she'd gone somewhere else, or Lola casually talking to the fourth wall, the fight can ultimately focus on the fact that these two can actually throw hands. Their contrasting approaches to physical combat, athleticism, and movement have the potential to bounce off each other really well, making for a dynamic and engaging fight.

Lola has an axe in her Frostbane costume, so let's see that thing clash with Amy's hammer, with the resulting impact tearing up the environment. Thanks to Dark Chronicles and World of Mayhem, let's see all of their items, debuffs, and other RPG mechanics bounce off one another. Let Lola's trickster side shine throughout the episode alongside her ditzy, scatterbrained personality. Their personalities, especially with Lola's portrayals in The Looney Tunes Show and New Looney Tunes, would play off Amy's incredibly well, making for some genuinely fun interactions both during the fight and in the banter. Especially since these two ladies share a fiery temper, let's see what happens when those tempers collide.

One thing I've noticed in a lot of Sonic-related blogs, and even in some Death Battle analysis segments for Sonic characters, is that they'll always mention the kart racing stuff, but let's be real, it never actually shows up in the animation. This matchup finally gives those elements a chance to shine. A segment where Amy and Lola battle it out in their karts while racing through the environment, using the various items and power-ups from their respective series, would be incredibly fun. It also fits the Looney Tunes style perfectly. Heck, Lola even has a dedicated episode where she races against Rhonda in a similar fashion. That sequence alone could give us plenty of opportunities to showcase Lola's Bugs-like wit and trickster antics while Amy tries to keep up.

Do you need Super Amy for this matchup? No, not really. I don't mind it, especially with things like Nova Bunny and all the other cool abilities World of Mayhem gives Lola. But generally, I'd rather not use it. Amy just doesn't use the Chaos Emeralds like that. Heck, the only game where she actively uses them in combat is Superstars. I'd rather have an Amy fight focus on her own abilities and her hammer than lean into Chaos Emerald transformations. You absolutely can use Super Amy, it doesn't hurt the matchup, but personally, I'd rather not.

In conclusion, you can get a lot of great potential out of this one. You still get a fight that plays to Amy's physical capabilities, especially her hammer, which is probably the most important part of any Amy matchup. But because of Lola's Looney nature, you also get to have a lot of fun with both characters' abilities and sense of humor. Honestly, I think I love the kart sequence idea the most. I think most folks forget that the Sonic series, while definitely not to the same level, does display Toon-like behavior in some games as well. So it's not like one character being a full-on Toon hurts this matchup, especially when Sonic characters are no strangers to getting flattened like pancakes themselves. And, of course, there's hammerspace, with Amy casually pulling her hammer out of nowhere.

In any Sonic matchup, you need a character who can not only match and bounce off the cast's signature abilities, but also keep up with their speed. Lola does exactly that while bringing her own unique flair to the fight, allowing her distinct style, abilities, and Looney nature to give the matchup its own identity.

I also want to announce that I’m also working on another Character Analysis centering on Archie Eggman, that is it.
